On the news front, Michael Vollbracht, the designer for the Bill Blass Collection, left the company unexpectedly last week. The company line is that he wanted to pursue other interests but we at A Fashionable Life are skeptical. Michael is one the MOST talented designers on the scene today and we know he will land somewhere great! STAY TUNED.

We have talked a lot about the POIRET exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum but if you miss it this summer grab the new book by ASSOULINE called simply POIRET. A small gem of a book with yummy pictures and a brief history of Paul Poiret and his cronies in the 1920's. A perfect and "fashionable" house gift.
