Candy Pratts Price of Style.com has been given the Eugenia Sheppard Award by the CFDA. Candy is a friend of A Fashionable Life and a hugely talented and inspirational leader in the world of fashion. Candy's

her this award and the admiration of her illustrious peers in the
fashion industry. Candy will be curating a book for Assouline (due to
hit bookstores for the 2008 holiday season) which will be everything
you've ever wanted to know about accessories....we can't wait!!!!! The
awards will be handed out on June 2 at the annual CFDA Gala at The NewYork Public Library.

REM will be launching their new album ACCELERATE on March 24!!!
The cool part of this launch is the fact that it will take place a week
earlier than the national launch on Facebook and other social sites
that use the like applications. This is the "fashionable" trend in music
launches....you'll see!!

Louis Vuitton is launching yet another new accessory line. The classic
LV logo will be paired with a canvas camouflage print to create
Monoflage! The line will be unveiled at the Murakami exhibit on April 3 at The Brooklyn Museum of Art.

Project Runway has done it again! As a result of the show, sewing machines sales have doubled over the last year. Threading your own needle seems to be chic after all!

Bloomingdales is headed to the middle east. Dubai Mall, scheduled to open during the 2008-2009 year will be its showcase.
