Jewelry, like
clothes and other accessories, help to define a woman's personal
style. Jewelry this season is best described when brought into
context with what is new for fall. If gray and black abound then
light and breezy should follow. A lot of the earrings we love
are ethnic and airy with cutouts. Hoops, bangles and rings continue
to look so great for the woman that wants to wear a little diamond
without looking pretentious. I would know this has become my favorite
staple. Stacking micro bangles/rings is a great way to mix golds:yellow,
pink and white.
Rose
gold is huge. Gone is the "vintage rose" that your Grandmother
wore. Big bold pendants and bangles from Susanne Foster in LA
are a gorgeous take on rose gold!
What
better way to emphasize the 3/4 length sleeve than with a bracelet.
There are so many interpretations of bracelets from diamond to
the retro and funky thin ID bracelets (JL Rocks private label).
This
season and the spring '08 runway shows of this week all give high
priority to femininity, beautiful deconstructed femininity that
allows the woman's body and elegance to speak. The clothes are
elegant by design with detail but the overall look is simplicity.
Your jewelry purchases (and hopefully gifts) should reflect elegant
simplicity with an element of personal style. When you think of
the classic DVF wrap dress you think of large hoops, a great set
of bangles and maybe even a bold statement ring worn on your right
hand.
